When Department of Early Learning (DEL) licensing staff determines that a licensed child care facility has not met the minimum licensing requirements, they may take action to ensure the health and safety of the children. This is commonly referred to as "adverse licensing action," and may include fines, suspension, or revocation of the license."

Licensed child care providers may appeal certain adverse decisions by the Department of Early Learning (DEL) under state laws located in the Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 34.05 (The Administrative Procedure Act, Parts IV and V.)
