DEL’s trainer approval process is designed to promote quality training opportunities around the state, establish a consistent process for reviewing all trainers, and ensure that all trainings are grounded in the State’s core competencies and early learning guidelines.
Trainer Advisory Board
The Trainer Advisory Board advises DEL on trainer policies and observes trainer applicants, making recommendations for approval as well as mentoring and teaching trainers. The board is made up of professionals in higher education, community-based training, state agencies, and other professional organizations.
If you are an expert in adult education (or other topics relevant to early care and education), and you would like to join the Trainer Advisory Board, please complete the application below and submit both the form and your resume to the Department of Early Learning at email@example.com.

Organization Trainer Mentor
The Organization Trainer Mentors provide community mentorship and support for organizational representatives interested in completing the state trainer approval process. Approved Organization Trainer Mentors coach, observe, and recommend approval of trainer applicants. The Organization Trainer Mentor process supports the development of a more robust pool of trainers to meet the needs of early care and education professionals in rural and culturally diverse settings in the state.
To participate, an organization must make a commitment and sign a quality-assurance agreement to use and uphold the trainer approval quality-assurance process. To apply to become an Organization Trainer Mentor, request an application from DEL at firstname.lastname@example.org. .
