Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)

Early intervention services during the first years can make a big difference in a child’s life. Early Support for Infants and Toddlers provides services to children birth to 3 who have disabilities and/or developmental delays. Eligible infants and toddlers and their families are entitled to individualized, quality early intervention services in accordance with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part C.

To learn about typical development and what to do if you have concerns, read the birth-to-6 pre-screening chart in English or Spanish or call the Family Health Hotline at 1-800-322-2588.

Parents are asked to complete a survey as part of a family’s annual Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process, and when a child leaves the early intervention program. To give feedback about your family’s experience in early intervention, please take this brief online survey in English or Spanish.
